Purchasing the Pass is straightforward:

1. Buy Online or at Authorized Agents: H.I.S. Travel is Japan Rail Pass authorized travel agent. Purchase your JR Pass before arriving in Japan.
2. Exchange Order: Upon purchase, you will receive an Exchange Order, which you will need to exchange for the actual Japan Rail Pass once you arrive in Japan.
3. Activation: Go to any Japan Rail Pass Exchange Office with your passport and Exchange Order to activate your pass. You can choose the starting date of your pass (within one month of the exchange).

Using the Japan Rail Pass is easy. Here is how:

1. Show Your Pass: At JR ticket gates, show your Japan Rail Pass to the attendant. You do not need to use automated ticket gates.
2. Seat Reservations: For reserved seats on Shinkansen and limited express trains, make free reservations at JR ticket offices.
